GamerHash milestone timeline: 2017 founded, 2020 GHX TGE, 2023 first AI module, 2024 model expansion, 2025 deAPI public + Solana, 2026 pure-AI era after mining concluded January 31.

2017 — The Mining App

Two co-founders launched the GamerHash Miner App with a simple goal: let anyone earn from idle PC time. Within months, 150,000 users had joined; by mid-2018 the community had doubled. The app abstracted everything users used to hate about mining — wallet management, algorithm selection, payout thresholds — into one click.

2019 – 2022 — GamerCoin (GHX)

The native token launched on Ethereum, with the TGE on 31 December 2020. The whitepaper was registered with the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) — an early commitment to transparency. By April 2021 GHX was listed on Bithumb (then world’s third-largest exchange), and bridged to BNB Chain in 2022.

2023 — GamerHash AI is born

With open-source AI maturing fast, the team realized the same idle-GPU infrastructure could power something more valuable than PoW hashes. The first version of the GamerHash AI App rolled out internally — text and image generation running on the user’s own GPU, no API keys to manage.

2024 — Scaling the AI App

In March 2024 the AI App went public with the AI Image Generator module. The year was about breadth — text models (Llama 3.1, Qwen 2.5, Gemma 2, Phi-4, DeepSeek) and image models (Stable Diffusion, FLUX). The AI Image Booster shipped, a Web LLM for the GamerHash community went live, the GHXP Boost mechanic launched for GHX holders, and gamerhash.com got a full redesign.

2025 — Multi-chain and the developer layer

GHX bridged to Solana through Raydium and Jupiter; staking and liquidity mining went live at staking.gamercoin.com. The AI App added image-to-video and text-to-video. The public developer API opened — first as a beta, then with a full playground and an official n8n node — turning the GamerHash GPU network into a developer platform.

2026 — Pure AI

Crypto mining was wound down on 31 January 2026. The platform now runs exclusively on AI compute — image edit, text-to-music, voice (TTS + transcription), OCR, video upscaling and replace / animate all shipped this year, with custom LoRA uploads next on the roadmap. The broader GamerHash community has grown past 800,000 registered users, and the AI App network is powered by thousands of active GPUs — the DePIN is the engine.

What stayed the same

Through every pivot, one principle has held: the user owns the hardware, and the user gets paid for using it. Whether the workload was BTC, then GHX, now AI inference, the contract with the contributor never changed.
We are here for the gamers. We are the game changer. We are the GamerHash.
