# Earning model
Source: https://docs.gamerhash.com/ai/earning
How GPU sharing pays: the AI App runs AI jobs on your idle GPU, your earnings balance grows in GUSD, and you spend it in the Store or withdraw it as USDC or GHX.
While your PC is on and you're not using it, the AI App takes AI jobs from the network and runs them on your GPU. Every finished job adds to your **earnings balance**. You don't pick jobs, start them, or watch a queue — you switch the **Earning** module on once and leave the machine running.
The balance is credited in **GUSD**: GamerHash's internal earnings unit, counted **1:1 with the US dollar inside the platform**. GUSD is **not a token and not a stablecoin** — no contract address, no market price. It is a credit balance on your account, and there are three things you can do with it: spend it in the Store, withdraw it as USDC, or withdraw it as GHX.
Earning runs on **approved device types** — see [hardware requirements](/ai/hardware-requirements#ai-optimal--earn-from-gpu-sharing). If yours isn't approved yet you go on the **waiting list**, and earning switches on by itself once it is. The app itself still runs AI models locally from 8 GB up (AI READY).
## Setup
Free Windows installer from [gamerhash.com](https://gamerhash.com/en/app-download).
Email or Google sign-in. If you don't have an account yet, it's created on first run.
Enable it inside the app; the components it needs download automatically.
**Basic** to get started, or **Full** for the complete set of models.
While you're online, the network sends jobs that fit your GPU, and **GUSD** is credited as each one finishes.
Nothing to accept by hand, no queue to tune, no per-job setup. The walkthrough with screenshots is in [Earn with GPU sharing](/tutorials/earn-with-gpu).
## What affects your earnings
* **Your hardware.** The earning module needs **24 GB VRAM with 32 GB RAM, or 16 GB VRAM on an Ada-or-newer card with 64 GB RAM**. See [hardware requirements](/ai/hardware-requirements).
* **Time online.** A job can only land on your machine while the app is running, which is why the whole setup is *switch it on and leave it alone*.
* **Demand on the network.** Payouts come out of what the network sells: per-request billing for compute, direct AI partnerships, and Store margin. That revenue funds two things — payouts to the people sharing GPU power, and running the platform. Payouts are funded by revenue for compute, not by token emissions. More in [Business model](/ecosystem/business-model).
* **Activity points (GHXP).** Points accrue every minute the app runs, even when there's no work in the queue for you. Holding GHX — in MetaMask or in your in-app GHX wallet, under the same account — raises your account level, and a higher level accrues points faster, up to a cap; nothing is locked or staked. Points can be committed in monthly seasons for a share of GHX. **They do not change what a single job pays.**
Seasons run monthly. Inside the app you can commit up to **80% of your saved activity points** to the season's shared reward pool. Committed points are burned when the season ends, and you receive GHX in proportion to what you committed against everyone else taking part — there is no fixed rate per point. The GHX is provided by GamerCoin under a cooperation arrangement and is not funded from platform revenue. Full mechanic: [activity points and seasons](/ai/ghxp).
The Earning dashboard inside the app shows your balance and what you've earned so far.
## Three ways to use your balance
600+ digital items — games, Steam keys, gift cards, prepaid codes. Pay with your balance (GUSD), GHX, or BTC.
To any BNB Chain address: your Binance deposit address, MetaMask on BSC, or any BEP-20 wallet. A withdrawal fee applies — you see the exact amount before you confirm.
Onchain on Ethereum or BNB Chain. What you do with GHX afterwards is documented at [GamerCoin: docs.gamercoin.com ↗](https://docs.gamercoin.com)
Browse the catalogue at [gamerhash.com/shop](https://gamerhash.com/en/shop).
You pick the asset when you withdraw — the same balance goes out as USDC or as GHX. Anything that leaves the platform leaves in crypto, to a wallet address you control. There is no payout to a bank account.
## What this is *not*
* **Not mining.** No proof of work, no hash rates, no algorithm tuning — your GPU runs AI jobs for the network.
* **Not crypto trading.** You're paid in GUSD, an internal earnings balance counted 1:1 with the dollar inside the platform — not a token, not a stablecoin. Taking it out in GHX is one of three options, not something you have to do to get paid.
* **Not a bank payout.** Withdrawals are in crypto only: USDC or GHX to a wallet address.
* **Not guaranteed.** What you earn depends on demand on the network. There is no fixed or promised rate.
## Getting more out of it
* **Leave the app running when you're not using the machine.** It can only take a job while it's on.
* **Don't close it mid-hour.** Activity points show as *Pending* during the hour and are credited at the top of each hour; closing the app before the hour ends drops that hour's pending points. Running in the background counts.
* **Points accrue faster at a higher account level**, and level follows the GHX you hold in MetaMask or in your in-app GHX wallet, up to the cap. Balances in both wallets count together.
* **Commit your GHXP before the season closes** — that's how points turn into GHX. The ceiling is 80% of your saved points; committed points are burned, the rest rolls over.
* **Keep the app and your NVIDIA driver up to date.**

# Activity points (GHXP) and seasons
Source: https://docs.gamerhash.com/ai/ghxp
Activity points (GHXP) accrue for every minute the GamerHash AI App runs, your account level (set by how much GHX you hold) makes them accrue faster, and the points you commit each season bring you a proportional share of that season's GHX pool.
Two different things happen in parallel while the GamerHash AI App is running.
* **AI jobs pay you.** When a job runs on your GPU, your earnings balance goes up in **GUSD**, counted 1:1 with the US dollar inside the platform. GUSD is an internal earnings balance — not a token, not a stablecoin. See [Earning model](/ai/earning).
* **The app collects points.** Every minute the app is running, you accrue **GHXP** (GamerHash Experience Points). Points are not money — once a month you can commit them to the season's GHX pool.
GHXP never changes what a single AI job pays. What it does decide is your share of the monthly season's GHX pool.
## Activity points (GHXP)
GHXP is a points balance tied to your GamerHash account. You collect it for the time the app spends running — including hours when there is no work in the queue for your machine.
### How points accrue
* **Every minute** the app is running.
* Points show up as **Pending** during the current hour and are **credited to your account at the top of each hour**. Closing the app before the hour completes drops that hour's pending points.
* **Running in the background counts** — the app does not need to be in the foreground.
* **Quiet hours count too** — points keep accruing even when no job arrives.
### GHX Boost: points accrue faster
Holding GHX raises your **account level**, and your account level is what sets how fast GHXP accrues. The chain runs one way: GHX → level → faster points.
Either place works, as long as it sits under the same GamerHash account that runs the app:
* GHX in **MetaMask**
* GHX in the **GHX wallet built into the app**
How it behaves:
* Balances in both wallets count together.
* There is a cap, so larger holders cannot dominate.
* Nothing is locked or staked — the GHX only has to sit in one of those wallets.
Holding GHX also unlocks the **prompt booster** on Text-to-Image inside the app — see [Modules](/ai/modules).
**The Boost pays in points, not in money.** A completed AI job pays the same whether or not you hold GHX — the Boost only makes points arrive faster.
### Account level comes from GHX, not from points
Your **account level in the AI App is set by how much GHX you hold** — not by how many activity points you have collected. Accruing GHXP does not move your level, and committing GHXP in a season does not move it either. Points are what the level acts on, never the other way round.
### What GHXP is *not*
* **Not a token.** No contract address, no market price — they are reward-programme points.
* **Not transferable.** It is tied to your GamerHash account.
* **Not tradeable.** You can't sell points or move them between accounts. They turn into GHX one way only: commit them in a season — committed points are burned, and you receive your share of the season's GHX pool.
* **Not an earnings balance.** Work pays in GUSD; points do not add to that balance.
* **Not a level.** Level follows your GHX holdings, not your points.
## Seasons
**Seasons run monthly.** Each season lasts one month, and seasons are running now.
**The GHX handed out each season is provided by GamerCoin under a cooperation arrangement — it is not funded from platform revenue.**
### How a season works
Once per season, open the Season window in the GamerHash AI App and use **Commit GHXP** to put part of your saved points into the season's shared reward pool — anywhere from **0% to 80% of your saved GHXP** (presets 25%, 50%, 75% and MAX). The commitment is final: once confirmed, you can't raise, lower or cancel it.
When the season ends, the GHXP you committed is **burned** — permanently removed. Points you didn't commit stay in your saved balance and roll over to later seasons.
Your GHX reward is your **proportional share** of the season's reward pool: what you committed, relative to the total committed by everyone taking part. GHX is distributed shortly after the season closes.
**Your reward is a share of the pool, not a rate per point.** GHXP does not convert into GHX at a fixed ratio — how much GHX a committed point brings depends on how much everyone else committed that season.
Anything that leaves the platform leaves as crypto. Your earnings balance goes out as **USDC** or **GHX**, or gets spent in the Store — there is no payout to a bank account. See [Wallets](/platform/wallets).
## Getting the most out of your points
1. **Leave the app running when the machine is idle.** Points accrue per minute, and a pause mid-hour drops that hour's pending points.
2. **Points accrue faster at a higher account level** — which means holding GHX, in MetaMask, in the in-app GHX wallet, or both. The two balances count together, up to the cap.
3. **Commit your GHXP each season.** Points you never commit earn no GHX. The ceiling is 80% of your saved GHXP, and whatever you hold back rolls over to later seasons.
## Watch out for
* **Closing the app mid-hour discards that hour's pending points.** Schedule restarts on the hour boundary, not in the middle of it.
* **The 80% ceiling is per season.** You cannot commit your entire balance — at most four fifths of it.
* **A commitment is final, and committed points are burned.** Once you confirm, you can't change or cancel it; when the season ends, the committed GHXP is permanently removed in exchange for your share of GHX.

# Hardware requirements
Source: https://docs.gamerhash.com/ai/hardware-requirements
Two badges, two bars — AI READY for running models locally, AI OPTIMAL for earning by sharing GPU power.
The AI App has two distinct use cases, and they have different hardware bars:
* **AI READY** — run AI models locally (chat, image, video, voice) on your own GPU.
* **AI OPTIMAL** — also accept network earning workloads to your machine and get paid in GUSD.
Check your exact rig against both badges in the official [GamerHash profit calculator](https://gamerhash.com/en/calculator) before you buy.
## AI READY — run models locally
Lower bar. If you can run modern AAA games at 1080p, you can run local AI.
* **OS** — 11, 64-bit. Windows 10 is not supported
* **GPU** — NVIDIA RTX. The app installs and runs from **8 GB VRAM** (RTX 3060, 4060, 5060 and up); **12 GB** is the recommended minimum for local AI and covers image generation, and **16 GB** is required for video generation — the level at which every feature runs smoothly
* **RAM** — 16 GB
* **CPU** — modern x86-64 (Intel 8th gen / AMD Ryzen 2000 or newer)
* **Driver** — recent NVIDIA studio or game-ready driver
* **Disk** — 100 GB free for the model cache
* **TPM 2.0** — required. To check, press Windows + R and run `tpm.msc`
The more VRAM you have, the bigger the local model you can load:
| VRAM | Modules unlocked |
| - | - |
| **8 GB** | AI Chat (7B/8B quantized), Sana Sprint, FLUX.1 Schnell, voice (TTS + Whisper transcription), OCR, image upscale, background removal, embeddings |
| **12 GB** | 14B chat models, FLUX dev / FLUX.2 / Z-Image-Turbo at higher resolutions, image edit, video upscale, music generation |
| **16 GB+** | 20B-class chat models, high-res FLUX, video generation (LTX, MiniMax H3), video replace / animate |
| **24 GB+** | Full Model Center access — every model the app ships |
The Model Center inside the app shows live fit per model on your specific hardware.
## AI OPTIMAL — earn from GPU sharing
Earning runs on **approved device types**. Two configurations qualify today:
| VRAM | System RAM | GPU architecture | Examples |
| - | - | - | - |
| **24 GB** | **32 GB** | any | RTX 3090, 3090 Ti, 4090 |
| **16 GB** | **64 GB** | **Ada or newer** (RTX 40/50 series) | RTX 4080, 4070 Ti Super, 5080 |
Both numbers count, and on the 16 GB path the architecture counts too — a 16 GB card older than Ada doesn't qualify no matter how much RAM you add.
On top of everything **AI READY** needs, earning also wants:
* **Network** — stable broadband (50 Mbps down comfortable). Earning workloads stream small payloads — consistency matters more than peak speed.
* **Uptime** — leave the machine on. Most pay comes from being online when a workload arrives.
If your setup isn't approved yet, you go on the **waiting list**. We approve more device types as the network needs capacity; when yours goes in, earning is set up while you're online and starts on its own — no update, no reinstall. Everything else keeps working meanwhile: AI READY starts at 8 GB and is unaffected.
The more VRAM, the higher-paying workload tiers you qualify for:
| VRAM | Earning workload pool |
| - | - |
| **16 GB** (Ada+, 64 GB RAM) | Entry tier |
| **24 GB+** | Full earning pool, top-paying tiers |
The [profit calculator](https://gamerhash.com/en/calculator) gives you a per-GPU yield estimate based on current network demand.
## What's not supported
* **AMD GPUs** — NVIDIA only in the AI App today.
* **macOS / Linux** — AI App is Windows-only. The [Mobile app](/apps/mobile) on iOS/Android handles account management, not local AI.
* **iGPUs** — integrated graphics don't have enough VRAM.
* **Multi-GPU per machine** — the AI App uses a single GPU per process. Multi-machine is fine; GHXP and earnings consolidate per account.
## Upgrading the GPU
Swap GPUs without recreating your account. On next start, the AI App detects the new card and re-runs its benchmark — typically a couple of minutes. GHXP, your account level and earning history all carry over — none of them are tied to the hardware. Workloads matched to the new card take effect from the next dispatch.
## Tips before you buy
* **Run your exact rig through the [profit calculator](https://gamerhash.com/en/calculator)** before spending. Both badges (AI READY / AI OPTIMAL) are checked there.
* **For AI OPTIMAL, check all three: VRAM, system RAM and architecture.** A 16 GB card qualifies only if it is Ada or newer *and* backed by 64 GB of RAM. A 24 GB card qualifies at 32 GB of RAM, whatever the architecture.
* **Used 30-series cards** can be cheap entry to AI READY (3060/3070 at 8–12 GB). For AI OPTIMAL on used hardware, only the **RTX 3090 (24 GB)** clears the bar — and check warranty, sustained load is harder on cards than gaming.
* **Check live network demand** at [network stats](/ai/stats). A bigger GPU only pays more if there are workloads in the queue for it.

# Modules
Source: https://docs.gamerhash.com/ai/modules
Every module the GamerHash AI App ships and what each one does.
The AI App is modular. You don't have to use all of it — open the dashboard and pick what you want. Every module runs locally on your GPU.
## Earning module
Opt in and your GPU joins the dispatch pool when idle. AI inference workloads are routed to your machine — images, video and, since version 0.82.0, audio transcription; you're paid in **GUSD** per completed job.
* **Earn while idle.** Workloads use the full GPU and VRAM. When another app — a game, a video editor — takes up your GPU, the app warns you, and since version 0.87.0 it pauses earning automatically. Just leave it on whenever you're not gaming.
* **Pause anytime.** No minimum commitment — toggle off in the sidebar.
See [Earning model](/ai/earning) for what determines per-machine yield.
## Home module
The dashboard that runs in the background and ties your account to network rewards.
* **GHXP accrual** — every minute the app is running, you accrue GHXP. Pending points credit at the top of each hour. Hold GHX in MetaMask or your in-app wallet to raise your account level, which is what multiplies the rate.
* **Seasons** — a season runs every month. Commit up to 80% of your saved GHXP to the season's shared pool; committed points are burned, and you receive a share of the season's GHX proportional to what you committed.
* **Account status** — current GHXP, account level (which follows your GHX holdings), your season commitment, and connected wallets, all on one screen.
See [activity points (GHXP) and seasons](/ai/ghxp) for the full mechanics.

# Overview
Source: https://docs.gamerhash.com/ai/overview
The flagship app — what it does, how it earns, and what hardware you need.
The **GamerHash AI App** is a free desktop application that does two things at once:
1. **Lets you use private AI tools locally** — chat, image, video, voice — all running on your own GPU, without sending data to a third-party cloud.
2. **Lets you earn from idle GPU time** — opt in and the app dispatches AI inference jobs from the network onto your machine. You're paid in **GUSD** per workload, and you accrue **GHXP** every minute the app runs (even when there's no work in the queue) — points you commit in a monthly season bring you a share of that season's GHX.
Same app, same install, same login. You decide whether to use it as a private AI workstation, an earning machine, or both.
## What's inside
Text-to-text, text-to-image, text/image-to-video, voice — every module the app ships.
Points accrue every minute the app runs; a higher account level, which follows your GHX, speeds that up. Committed in a monthly season, they bring a share of GHX.

Minimum and recommended GPUs for chat, image, and video.
What stays on your machine, what's transmitted, what's logged.
Five-minute walkthrough — download to first run.
## Why local AI
Cloud AI services come with three structural costs that GamerHash AI removes:
* **Per-token pricing.** Cloud providers charge per call, per token, per second. The AI App is free for personal use — your only cost is electricity and the GPU you already own.
* **Privacy compromises.** Prompts and outputs are transmitted to third-party clouds and may be logged. The AI App generates entirely locally — nothing leaves your machine when you're using personal-use modules.
* **Usage limits.** Free tiers cap message counts, resolution, and rate. The AI App has no usage caps for local-only modules — your GPU is the only limiter.
## Why share GPU?
A modern gaming GPU is idle most of the time it's powered on. The earning module dispatches AI inference jobs from network buyers — developers, applications, and direct AI partners — onto your machine while you're not using it.
You don't pick the workloads — the network routes whatever fits your VRAM and the queue depth. You earn **GUSD per workload completed**. Separately, you accrue **GHXP** every minute the app runs, and the points you commit each month bring a proportional share of that season's GHX — see [seasons](/ai/ghxp#seasons).
## What you need
* **Windows 11, 64-bit** (Windows 10 is not supported) with a **TPM 2.0** module
* **100 GB of free disk space** for the model cache
* **NVIDIA RTX GPU** — the app runs locally from 8 GB VRAM; 12 GB+ is recommended and video generation needs 16 GB. The earning module requires **24 GB VRAM with 32 GB RAM, or 16 GB VRAM on an Ada-or-newer card with 64 GB RAM** — anything below is local use only, and you can join the waiting list.
* **Recent NVIDIA driver** (the app prompts if your driver is too old)
* **A GamerHash account** (created on first run; email or Google sign-in)

# Privacy
Source: https://docs.gamerhash.com/ai/privacy
What stays on your machine, what's transmitted, and what's logged.
The AI App is split into two operational modes with different privacy properties. Both are documented below.
## Personal-use modules
When you use the AI App as a private workstation:
* **Prompts and outputs** stay on your machine. They are not transmitted to GamerHash servers and not stored in any GamerHash database.
* **Generated images and chat logs** are stored locally on your PC, in the app's data directory. You can export, delete, or move them.
* **No content telemetry.** The app records technical metrics (model load times, errors, hardware health) but not the content of your interactions.
* **No usage caps.** Your GPU is the only limiter.
The model runs on your own hardware — there is no cloud round-trip for inference.
## Earning module (GPU sharing)
When you opt in to earn:
* **The workloads are not yours** — they're inference requests dispatched by the platform on behalf of third-party consumers. Your GPU runs them; the input and output return to the requester.
* **You don't see prompts or outputs** of dispatched workloads. They pass through your GPU but aren't displayed or logged on your side.
* **The platform tracks workload metadata** — completion time, model used, success/failure — to settle payment. It does *not* persist consumer prompts on your node.
* **You're contributing GPU time, not data.** You're not training a model; you're running inference.
If you don't want to host third-party workloads, simply leave the earning module off. The personal-use modules don't require it.
## Account data
The platform stores standard account data: email or third-party login, country (for compliance), GHXP balance, GUSD balance, and GHX wallet addresses you've connected. This is necessary to operate the service and is covered by the [GamerHash Terms](https://gamerhash.com/en/rules).
## What we don't do
* Sell account data to advertisers.
* Train models on your local prompts or outputs.
* Share your wallet activity with third parties beyond what is already public on-chain.
## Network and server activity
The AI App phones home for:
* **Authentication** — login session, account state.
* **Model downloads** — fetching weights from the Model Center.
* **Earning dispatch** — receiving workload assignments, returning results, settling GUSD.
* **Updates** — new app versions, security patches.
You can inspect this with any network monitor; nothing is hidden.
## Compliance
Day-to-day use of the platform, the apps and the Store is governed by the [GamerHash Terms](https://gamerhash.com/en/rules). The legal documentation for the GHX token — issuing entity, AML/CFT position, disclaimer — lives with the token at [docs.gamercoin.com ↗](https://docs.gamercoin.com/legal/overview).

# Network stats
Source: https://docs.gamerhash.com/ai/stats
Live state of the GamerHash AI distributed compute network — devices, GPUs, VRAM, CPU cores, RAM, and storage.
The GamerHash AI network is built from contributors' machines, and you can watch its capacity in real time. The public dashboard at [gamerhash.com/en/stats](https://gamerhash.com/en/stats) shows what's connected to the network right now.
## What's tracked
| Metric | What it measures |
| - | - |
| **Devices** | Total machines connected to the network and running the AI App |
| **GPUs** | Aggregate count of GPUs contributed across all devices |
| **GPU VRAM** | Total video memory available for AI inference workloads |
| **CPUs** | Aggregate CPU count across the network |
| **CPU cores** | Total cores available for CPU-side workloads |
| **RAM** | Total system memory across all connected machines |
| **Storage** | Total disk capacity contributed by the network |
Each metric is shown for two windows:
* **Last 24h** — what was active in the past day
* **Overall** — cumulative state of the network
## Why this matters
For **contributors**, the dashboard gives a feel for how big the network is and how busy it tends to be — a larger network means more workloads in the queue to route. For **AI builders and partners**, it's an at-a-glance view of available compute capacity before integrating with the platform.
The numbers are pulled live, so don't expect them to match a snapshot you saw an hour ago. Treat them as a directional read, not a service-level commitment — the queue and machine mix move minute to minute.

Source: https://docs.gamerhash.com/apps/store
600+ digital items — games, Steam keys, gift cards and prepaid codes — paid with your earnings balance (GUSD), GHX or BTC.
The [GamerHash Store](https://gamerhash.com/en/shop) is the spend side of your account. Your PC completes AI jobs while you're away and your balance grows in **GUSD**; the Store is the shortest route from that balance to a game, a key or a gift card. You earn first, and the Store is where those earnings turn into rewards.
## What you can buy
The catalogue is **600+ digital items** — nothing physical, nothing to ship.
Game titles, paid for straight from your balance.
Keys you redeem in your Steam account.
Gift cards delivered as a code.
Prepaid codes delivered the same way.
## How you pay
Three payment methods, one catalogue. Pick whichever you already hold.
What AI jobs credit to your account. GUSD is an internal earning credit counted 1:1 with the dollar inside the platform — not a token, not a stablecoin.
The ecosystem token. If you hold GHX, you pay with it directly. Documented and operated outside the platform — [GamerCoin: token documentation ↗](https://docs.gamercoin.com)
If you hold BTC, you pay with it directly.
## Spending here versus withdrawing
Spending in the Store is one of three things you can do with your earnings balance. The other two leave the platform, and both are crypto.
| What you do | Where it goes |
| - | - |
| Spend in the Store | Digital items — no external wallet needed |
| Withdraw as USDC | Any BNB Chain address — a Binance deposit address, MetaMask on BSC, or any BEP-20 wallet. A withdrawal fee applies. |
| Withdraw as GHX | Onchain on Ethereum or BNB Chain |
There is no bank transfer. Your earnings balance leaves the platform as crypto — USDC or GHX. Inside the platform your earnings are a GUSD balance counted 1:1 with the dollar; GUSD is not a token or a stablecoin, so it has no contract and no market price.

# Business model
Source: https://docs.gamerhash.com/ecosystem/business-model
Where GamerHash revenue comes from — pay-per-request compute, direct AI partnerships and store margin — and what it funds: payouts for GPU work and running the platform.
The platform earns when AI jobs run on the network. That revenue funds two things — **payouts to the people sharing GPU power** and **platform operations**. Nothing else.
The part worth reading twice: **those payouts are funded by compute revenue — what buyers actually paid for AI jobs — not by token emissions.**
## The business at a glance
| | |
| - | - |
| **Founded** | 2017 — Poland |
| **Registered users** | 820,000+ worldwide |
| **Network** | thousands of active GPUs |
| **Buyer access** | OpenAI-compatible REST API + official n8n node |
| **Developers registered** | 10,000+ |
| **Store catalogue** | 600+ digital items |
Registered users are platform accounts, not a GPU count. The network itself is powered by thousands of active GPUs.
## Revenue sources
Developers and applications pay per request for AI jobs — text, image, video, embeddings, transcription.
Bulk compute agreements with AI projects, agencies and platform integrations.
The GamerHash Store earns a margin on digital goods — games, game keys, gift cards, prepaid codes.
The first two are paid by buyers of AI compute. The third comes from the spend side: earnings used inside the platform instead of taken out.
## Where the revenue goes
Every completed AI job credits the earnings balance of the machine that ran it, in GUSD.
Infrastructure, development and support — the cost of keeping the network running.
How the two shares compare is not published — no percentage, no range, no formula.
## What buyers pay
Buyers pay per request. Access is one OpenAI-compatible REST API plus an official [n8n](https://n8n.io) node, so an application or an automation workflow can send AI jobs to the network without building infrastructure for it. 10,000+ developers are registered.
## What the people sharing GPU power get
You install the app and opt in; the app takes the jobs on its own. There is no queue to watch and nothing to accept by hand — this is passive income from a machine that is switched on anyway.
* **Earnings in GUSD** — credited as AI jobs complete on your GPU. GUSD is counted 1:1 with the dollar inside the platform. It is not a token and not a stablecoin — it is an earnings balance in your account.
* **Payout in the asset you choose** — take the balance out as USDC to any BNB Chain address (a Binance deposit address, MetaMask on BSC, any BEP-20 wallet — a withdrawal fee applies), or as GHX onchain on Ethereum or BNB Chain.
* **Or spend it in the Store** — 600+ digital items in the [GamerHash Store](https://gamerhash.com/en/shop): games, Steam keys, gift cards, prepaid codes.
Payouts leave the platform in crypto only — as USDC or as GHX. There is no transfer to a bank account.
## Outside the revenue model
Two things sit next to the revenue model and are not paid for out of it:
* **The monthly season rewards.** The GHX handed out each season is provided by GamerCoin under a cooperation arrangement — it is not funded from platform revenue. Participants commit activity points (GHXP), which are burned, and each receives a share of the season's GHX proportional to what they committed; none of it changes what a single AI job pays.
* **GHX itself.** The ecosystem token is documented and operated on its own site, outside the GamerHash AI platform.
How points accrue every minute the app runs, and how a monthly season pays out.
GHX is documented and operated outside this platform.
## Why the model holds up
Payouts are funded by what buyers pay for compute, not by issuing a token. What there is to distribute follows how much compute the network sells.
Whether to spend the balance in the Store, take it out as USDC, or take it out as GHX is a separate decision from whether the machine is earning at all.
Earnings depend on demand on the network. There is no fixed or promised rate.

# Community
Source: https://docs.gamerhash.com/ecosystem/community
Where the conversation lives and how to join.
GamerHash has been built around an active community since 2017 — gamers, AI builders, contributors, and long-time supporters spread across multiple channels. None of the products would exist in their current form without the people who run the app, file bug reports, write reviews, and onboard their friends.
## Channels
Fastest live response from moderators and the team — AMAs, technical support, contributor channels, GHXP season announcements.
Broader announcements and discussion — multiple regional channels (EN, PL, and more).
Product updates, partnership news, and short-form announcements. Best place for real-time signals.
Long-form articles, monthly community updates, and deep dives written by the team.
Walkthroughs, recap videos, and tutorial content for the AI App and ecosystem.
Memes, lighter content, and community highlights — useful if Facebook is where your local scene lives.
## How to engage
* **Run the AI App** — the most direct contribution. Every active GPU strengthens the network: an approved machine earns GUSD for the jobs it completes, and every running app accrues GHXP.
* **Help newcomers** — Discord and Telegram are full of first-time users with hardware and setup questions; experienced contributors are the best resource.
* **Send signal** — bug reports and feature requests in the support channels are read and prioritized. The [roadmap](/roadmap) reflects them.
* **Take part in the monthly seasons** — commit your activity points in the app for a share of that month's GHX pool. Dates and eligibility are announced on [Discord](https://app.gamerhash.com/en/l/Myw09) and [Medium](https://medium.com/we-are-the-gamerhash). See [seasons](/ai/ghxp#seasons).
* **Build on the network** — developers and AI teams integrate GamerHash compute into their products through [deAPI](https://deapi.ai).
## Brand and media kit
Logos, color palette, and brand guidelines are at [gamerhash.com/en/media](https://gamerhash.com/en/media). If you're writing an article, recording a video, or producing a partnership asset, please use the official kit rather than scraped images.
## Help and support
For account issues, technical problems, or refund questions:
Account, billing, store, and platform-wide questions.
Fastest path to a human — moderators and team active during business hours.

# A brief history
Source: https://docs.gamerhash.com/ecosystem/history
From the 2017 Mining App to today's AI compute network — the major milestones.
## 2017 — The Mining App
Two co-founders launched the **GamerHash Miner App** with a simple goal: let anyone earn from idle PC time. Within months, 150,000 users had joined; by mid-2018 the community had doubled. The app abstracted everything users used to hate about mining — wallet management, algorithm selection, payout thresholds — into one click.
## 2019 – 2022 — GamerCoin (GHX)
The native token launched on Ethereum, with the **TGE on 31 December 2020**. The whitepaper was registered with the **Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA)** — an early commitment to transparency. By April 2021 GHX was listed on Bithumb (then world's third-largest exchange), and bridged to **BNB Chain** in 2022.
## 2023 — GamerHash AI is born
With open-source AI maturing fast, the team realized the same idle-GPU infrastructure could power something more valuable than PoW hashes. The first version of the **GamerHash AI App** rolled out internally — text and image generation running on the user's own GPU, no API keys to manage.
## 2024 — Scaling the AI App
In **March 2024** the AI App went public with the AI Image Generator module. The year was about breadth — text models (Llama 3.1, Qwen 2.5, Gemma 2, Phi-4, DeepSeek) and image models (Stable Diffusion, FLUX). The **AI Image Booster** shipped, a **Web LLM for the GamerHash community** went live, the **GHXP Boost** mechanic launched for GHX holders, and [gamerhash.com](https://gamerhash.com) got a full redesign.
## 2025 — Multi-chain and the developer layer
GHX bridged to **Solana** through Raydium and Jupiter; staking and liquidity mining went live at [staking.gamercoin.com](https://staking.gamercoin.com). The AI App added image-to-video and text-to-video. The public developer API opened — first as a beta, then with a full playground and an official **n8n** node — turning the GamerHash GPU network into a developer platform.
## 2026 — Pure AI
Crypto mining was wound down on **31 January 2026**. The platform now runs exclusively on AI compute — image edit, text-to-music, voice (TTS + transcription), OCR, video upscaling and replace / animate all shipped this year. The broader GamerHash community has grown past **820,000 registered users**, and the AI App network is powered by **thousands of active GPUs**
## What stayed the same
Through every pivot, one principle has held: **the user owns the hardware, and the user gets paid for using it**. What the network asks that hardware to do has changed more than once; the deal with the person running it never has.
> *We are here for the gamers. We are the game changer. We are the GamerHash.*

# What is GamerHash?
Source: https://docs.gamerhash.com/ecosystem/what-is-gamerhash
Turning idle consumer GPUs into productive AI compute — backed by an 820,000+ registered platform community worldwide.
GamerHash is a global distributed compute platform, founded in 2017. The network is powered by **idle GPUs in gamers' homes** and consumed by AI applications that need inference at scale.
## The short version
The platform has three sides:
People run the GamerHash AI App on gaming PCs they already own. Approved machines take AI jobs from the network and get paid in GUSD.
A distributed GPU network that routes AI workloads to whichever machines are available.
AI builders consume the same compute through API integrations or direct partnerships.
## What the platform actually does
The [**GamerHash AI App**](https://gamerhash.com/en/app-download) is a free Windows desktop app. When you run it, you can:
* **Use private AI tools locally** — chat, image generation, video generation, voice synthesis, all running on your own GPU. No cloud, no logs, no usage caps.
* **Share idle GPU power** — opt in to the earning module, and the app dispatches AI inference jobs to your machine when it's not in use. You get paid in **GUSD** — the platform's internal earning currency.
* **Earn GHXP** — activity points that accrue for every minute the app runs. Holding GHX raises your account level, and a higher level accrues points faster, up to a cap. Points committed in a monthly season are burned for a proportional share of that season's GHX; they do not change what a single AI job pays.
For developers, the same compute is available through an OpenAI-compatible REST API plus an official n8n node, so any application or workflow can route AI workloads to the network without building custom infrastructure.
## Why this exists
The demand for AI compute is exploding, while a vast pool of consumer GPUs sits idle most of the day. GamerHash bridges those two: gamers monetize hardware that would otherwise be wasted, and AI builders get compute at a fraction of cloud cost.
The company has run a distributed network of idle consumer GPUs since 2017. In 2023 that network was repointed at AI inference, and today the platform is focused on AI compute and nothing else.
## Mission
Turn every home PC into a productive node in a global AI compute network — with participation as simple as installing one app.
No specialist hardware, no data-center contracts, no business-account onboarding. The bar to entry is a Windows installer and an RTX-class GPU that's already sitting in the room. That covers running AI locally; earning on top of it needs an approved machine — see [hardware requirements](/ai/hardware-requirements).
## Vision
A future where AI isn't gated by hyperscaler GPU clusters, but powered by millions of consumer machines worldwide — with the value flowing back to the people who own them.
Compute as a household utility, not a hyperscaler privilege. Closer in spirit to Folding\@home or BOINC than to today's centralized cloud — but paid in real money, production-ready, and consumed at scale by AI builders shipping real products.

# Welcome to GamerHash AI
Source: https://docs.gamerhash.com/index
Run AI models locally on your own GPU, and let your PC earn while you're away — user and developer documentation for GamerHash AI.
GamerHash AI makes one gaming PC do two jobs at once.
**A private AI machine.** Install the [GamerHash AI App](https://gamerhash.com/en/app-download) and models run locally on your own graphics card — the app runs from 8 GB of VRAM, 12 GB or more is recommended, and video generation needs 16 GB.
**A PC that earns while you're away.** Switch earning on and the app takes AI jobs from the network by itself: nothing to configure per job, nothing to sit and watch. Your PC is paid for the work it completes. Earning has a higher hardware bar than local use — 24 GB VRAM with 32 GB RAM, or 16 GB VRAM on an Ada-or-newer card with 64 GB RAM.
What you earn lands in your **earnings balance in GUSD**, counted 1:1 with the dollar inside the platform. Spend that balance in the Store, or withdraw it as USDC or GHX.
Developers come at the same network from the other side, through a public, OpenAI-compatible REST API.
## What you can do here
Models run locally on your hardware — from 8 GB VRAM, 12 GB+ recommended, 16 GB for video. Cards below the earning bar are local use only.
Leave the app running and it works on its own. Your balance grows in GUSD as jobs complete. The earning module needs 24 GB VRAM with 32 GB RAM, or 16 GB VRAM on an Ada-or-newer card with 64 GB RAM.
600+ digital items — games, Steam keys, gift cards, prepaid codes. Pay with your balance (GUSD), GHX or BTC.
OpenAI-compatible REST plus an official n8n node. 10,000+ developers registered.
## How the ecosystem works
People leave the AI App running on gaming PCs they already own. The distributed GPU network pools that capacity and sends each AI job to a machine that fits it. On the other side, developers and AI companies pay for that work — per request through the developer API, or through direct partnerships — and the Store earns a margin on the digital goods it sells.
That revenue funds two things: payouts to the people whose GPUs did the work, and running the platform. Nothing else. Payouts come out of what buyers pay for compute — not out of issuing a token.
**Three things to know before you decide anything.** Completed AI jobs credit your earnings balance in **GUSD**, counted 1:1 with the dollar inside the platform. **GUSD is not a token and not a stablecoin** — no contract, no market price. And money leaves the platform **in crypto only**: you withdraw as USDC to any BNB Chain address (a Binance deposit address, MetaMask on BSC, any BEP-20 wallet — a withdrawal fee applies, shown before you confirm), or as GHX on Ethereum or BNB Chain. There is no bank transfer.
Separately from pay, the app awards **activity points (GHXP)** for every minute it runs — including minutes when there is no job in the queue. Points are not a token, can't be transferred, and don't change what a single job pays. What they can do is turn into GHX through **seasons**, which run monthly: you commit up to 80% of your saved points to the season's shared pool, the committed points are burned, and you receive a share of the season's GHX proportional to what you committed against everyone else taking part. That GHX is provided by GamerCoin under a cooperation arrangement — it is not funded from platform revenue. Details: [activity points and seasons](/ai/ghxp).

# Wallets
Source: https://docs.gamerhash.com/platform/wallets
Your earnings balance in GUSD, the three ways to use it, and the other balances a GamerHash account holds.
Everything your PC earns lands in one place: your earnings balance. This page starts there — what it is and how to get value out of it — and then covers the other balances on your account.
## Your earnings balance (GUSD)
Every AI job your PC completes credits your earnings balance. The unit is **GUSD**.
* **Counted 1:1 with the US dollar inside the platform.** 1 GUSD of balance is one dollar of balance.
* **Not a token and not a stablecoin.** No contract, no market price, nothing to trade. It is an internal credit balance that exists only inside GamerHash.
* **Money out is crypto only.** You take the balance out as USDC or as GHX, onchain. There is no payout to a bank account.
You don't queue jobs and you don't accept them one by one — the app takes work on its own, and the balance goes up as jobs finish. See [Earning model](/ai/earning).
You choose the asset at the moment you take the balance out: **USDC** or **GHX**. Whichever you pick, it leaves the platform onchain.
## Three ways to use it
600+ digital items — games, Steam keys, gift cards, prepaid codes. Pay with your balance, with GHX or with BTC.
To any BNB Chain address: your Binance deposit address, MetaMask on BSC, or any BEP-20 wallet. A withdrawal fee applies — you see the exact amount before you confirm.
Onchain on or , to a wallet you control.
Step-by-step for all three: [Earn with GPU sharing](/tutorials/earn-with-gpu).
## What else is on your account
| Balance | What it is | Where it can go |
| - | - | - |
| **Earnings balance (GUSD)** | What AI jobs pay. Internal credit, counted 1:1 with the dollar. | Store · USDC · GHX |
| **GHX** | The ecosystem token. What you receive if you take your balance out in GHX. | Store · onchain |
| **BTC (legacy)** | A balance from the discontinued desktop client. | Store · onchain (manual approval, fee) |
| **GHXP points** | Activity points. Not money, not a wallet. | Nowhere directly — committed in a monthly season, they bring a share of GHX |
## GHX
GHX is the ecosystem token, and it is what you receive if you take your balance out in GHX rather than USDC. Three things you can do with it:
* **Hold it.** Your GHX balance sets your **account level**, and the level is what speeds up how fast you accrue activity points. It also unlocks the **prompt booster** on Text-to-Image. Details: [activity points](/ai/ghxp).
* **Spend it in the [Store](https://gamerhash.com/en/shop).** GHX is one of the three payment methods, alongside your GUSD balance and BTC.
* **Take it onchain.** or , to a wallet you control.
None of that changes what a single AI job pays.
The token itself is documented and operated outside the GamerHash AI platform: [GamerCoin: docs.gamercoin.com ↗](https://docs.gamercoin.com)
## BTC (legacy)
Some accounts still carry a BTC balance from the discontinued desktop client. Nothing new arrives in it, but the balance is not frozen. Spend it in the [Store](/apps/store), where BTC is one of the three ways to pay, or withdraw it onchain to your own BTC wallet.
Since 1 July 2026, when the EU's MiCA regulation took full effect, **every BTC withdrawal is approved manually** by the GamerHash team and **carries a transaction fee** — the exact amount is shown on the confirmation screen before you approve it, and processing takes longer than before. This is temporary, until integration with a licensed, MiCA-compliant exchange is complete. GHX and USDC withdrawals are not affected. If something looks wrong with the balance, contact support.
## GHXP points
GHXP is not a wallet and not money — it is a running count of **activity points**. They accrue for every minute the app runs and are not transferable. Committing them in a season is what turns them into GHX: committed points are burned, and you receive a share of the season's GHX pool proportional to what you committed. The ceiling is 80% of your saved points.
Full mechanic, including how a season is settled: [activity points and seasons](/ai/ghxp).

# Earn with GPU sharing
Source: https://docs.gamerhash.com/tutorials/earn-with-gpu
From switching the Earning module on to your first payout — what your PC does while you're away, what lands in your balance, and how to spend or withdraw it.
This picks up where [Install the AI App](/tutorials/install-ai-app) left off: app installed, signed in, GPU benchmarked. Setup is a handful of clicks, and after that the module works in the background — you don't start AI jobs, accept them, or tune a queue. The app takes work as it arrives and hands it to your card while you're not using the machine.
## What you get
* **An earnings balance in GUSD.** Every AI job your PC completes credits your balance in GUSD — an internal earnings credit counted 1:1 with the dollar inside the platform. GUSD is not a token and not a stablecoin; it sits in your GamerHash account.
* **Activity points (GHXP).** Points accrue every minute the app is running, including hours when the queue has nothing for your card. Committed in a monthly season, they bring a share of GHX — they don't change what a single job pays.
* **Three ways to use the balance.** Spend it in the Store, or withdraw it as USDC or GHX. Withdrawals go out onchain, in crypto — there is no payout to a bank account.
Full mechanics: [Earning model](/ai/earning).
## 1. Turn the Earning module on
The earning module needs **24 GB VRAM with 32 GB RAM, or 16 GB VRAM on an Ada-or-newer card with 64 GB RAM**. Below that the module isn't offered and you go on the waiting list — your card still runs models locally (AI READY), it just isn't given network AI work. Check both numbers in [Hardware requirements](/ai/hardware-requirements).
The earning section is separate from the local-AI modules. The dashboard explains what the module does before you opt in.
Third-party AI jobs will run on your machine. Make sure you're comfortable with that first — see [Privacy](/ai/privacy).
Toggle **Earning** on. Your PC joins the machines that get AI work assigned to them. That's the last decision you have to make — from here it runs without you.
## 2. What happens when you sit down to game
AI jobs use the full GPU and VRAM, so you can't earn and game at the same time. When you launch a game, the app warns you and pauses earning automatically, so the card is yours. When you're done playing, check that earning is back on.
In practice: leave the module on and forget about it. It steps aside when you need the machine.
## 3. Get more out of it
Activity points show as **Pending** during the hour and are credited at the top of each hour. Close the app before the hour ends and that hour's pending points are gone. Background runs count — the window doesn't have to be in front.
A job needs the whole card. Hours online with a free GPU are the one thing you genuinely control — the balance only moves when a job actually completes on your machine. If your device type isn't approved for earning, nothing is assigned no matter how long you stay online.
Points are counted per account, not per machine. Sign all your PCs in to the same GamerHash account and their points add up instead of sitting in separate piles.
## 4. See what you've earned
Balance credited per hour, per day and per month, plus how many jobs your machine has completed.
The [Mobile app](/apps/mobile) shows the same numbers when you're away from the PC.
## 5. Use what you've earned
Pick any of the three — the balance is yours to spend or withdraw at any time.
1. Browse the [Store](https://gamerhash.com/en/shop) — 600+ digital items: games, Steam keys, gift cards, prepaid codes.
2. At checkout, pay with your balance (GUSD). GHX and BTC are accepted too.
3. Enter your account PIN. Digital goods are delivered immediately.
1. Have a BNB Chain address ready — your Binance deposit address, MetaMask on BSC, or any other BEP-20 wallet.
2. **Wallet** → **Withdraw USDC** → pick the amount and paste the destination address.
3. Confirm. USDC arrives on BNB Chain at the address you gave. A withdrawal fee applies — you see the exact amount before you confirm.
1. **Wallet** → **Convert** → GUSD → GHX. (The button in the app still reads *Convert*; what actually happens is that your balance is paid out in GHX instead of USDC.)
2. Pick the chain: Ethereum or BNB Chain.
3. Confirm. GHX arrives onchain in the wallet you've connected. What you do with it from there is documented at [GamerCoin: token documentation ↗](https://docs.gamercoin.com)
Both withdrawal routes are onchain. The platform pays out in crypto only — there is no transfer to a bank account.
## Seasons
Activity points feed a seasonal programme that runs alongside the balance your machine earns. **Seasons run monthly.** Once per season you commit part of your saved GHXP to the season's shared reward pool — **up to 80% of what you hold**. The commitment is final. When the season ends, committed points are burned and you receive GHX in proportion to what you committed against everyone else taking part, paid out automatically. The GHX is provided by GamerCoin under a cooperation arrangement — it is not funded from platform revenue.
There is no fixed rate per point: how much GHX a committed point brings depends on how much everyone else committed that season. Points you don't commit roll over.
GHXP is not a token: it can't be transferred or traded. Committing it in a season is what turns it into GHX. It doesn't change what a single AI job pays. Full mechanics: [GHXP & seasons](/ai/ghxp).
## Troubleshooting
* **Hardware below the bar** — the module needs 24 GB VRAM with 32 GB RAM, or 16 GB VRAM on an Ada-or-newer card with 64 GB RAM. Below that nothing is assigned.
* **Demand varies** — how much AI work the network has changes over time. Community updates on [Medium](https://medium.com/we-are-the-gamerhash) cover the current picture.
* **Connection** — restart the app, and check you're not behind a corporate VPN or firewall blocking the app's traffic.
Two separate things. Activity points accrue every minute the app runs, including hours when nothing is assigned to your card. The balance moves only when a job actually completes on your machine. Points can be committed in a monthly season for a share of GHX — they don't top up the balance, and they don't raise what a job pays.
AI jobs hold the full GPU and VRAM. When another app needs the card, the AI App warns you and pauses earning automatically. If the game still refuses to start, close the AI App, launch the game, and let earning resume after you're done.
Check the destination first: USDC goes to a BNB Chain address, GHX to the chain you picked when you confirmed. If the address and the chain are right and it still hasn't shown up, contact Discord `#support` with the transaction reference from the Wallet log and the destination address you used.

# Install the GamerHash AI App
Source: https://docs.gamerhash.com/tutorials/install-ai-app
Step-by-step: from download to first chat, in five minutes.
This walks you from downloading the AI App to your first chat completion. Time: **5 minutes** plus model download (which happens in the background and varies by model size).
## Before you start
11 64-bit with TPM 2.0, NVIDIA RTX with **8 GB+ VRAM** (12 GB+ recommended, 16 GB for video), recent driver. Full breakdown in [Hardware requirements](/ai/hardware-requirements).
100 GB free for the model cache.
Created during install — email or Google login.
Broadband. Initial model downloads are large (4–20 GB depending on model).
## 1. Download
Go to [gamerhash.com/en/app-download](https://gamerhash.com/en/app-download) and click **Download App**. The installer is a digitally signed `.exe`.
Double-click the downloaded `.exe`. Windows may ask for admin permission — accept. The installer is signed by CoinAxe sp. z o.o.; if Windows SmartScreen warns, click **More info → Run anyway**.
Default is fine for most users. If you have multiple drives, pick the one with the most free space — model files end up here.
## 2. First run
On first launch you'll be prompted. **Sign in with Google** is the fastest path. Email + password also works.
The app benchmarks your GPU once to size workloads correctly. Takes \~1 minute. You won't need to repeat this unless you change hardware.
The Model Center opens. For a first chat, pick any model marked as a fit for your GPU (each model shows a VRAM-fit badge). Click **Download** — progress shows in the bar.
First model download is the slowest step. Smaller text models (\~5 GB) download in 5–15 minutes on a typical home connection. Image and video models can be 10–20 GB.
## 3. Your first chat
From the dashboard, click **Chat**. The model you just downloaded should be selected.
Type a question and hit Enter. First response includes a model warmup — subsequent responses are faster.
The response streams token-by-token. Generation runs entirely on your GPU; nothing is sent to a third-party cloud.
## 4. Try image generation
From the dashboard sidebar, pick **Image Generation**.
For 8 GB GPUs, **Sana Sprint** is a good first choice — fast and high quality. For 12 GB+, try **FLUX.1 Schnell**.
Type a prompt, click **Generate**. Output appears in the gallery; right-click to save or copy. Images are stored locally only.
## 5. Opt in to earn (optional)
If you want to share idle GPU power for GUSD. Earning has a higher hardware bar than local use and runs on approved device types — check [hardware requirements](/ai/hardware-requirements) first. If yours isn't approved yet you go on the waiting list, and the module switches itself on later.
Sidebar → **Earning**. Read the explanation, then toggle the module on.
Earning workloads take the full GPU and VRAM, so you can't earn and game at the same time. When you launch a game, the app pauses earning automatically; when you're done, check that earning is back on.
Workloads start dispatching to your GPU as the queue allows. The dashboard shows live earnings per hour.
## Troubleshooting
Click **More info** → **Run anyway**. The installer is signed by CoinAxe sp. z o.o. — verify the publisher in the certificate dialog.
Almost always a driver issue. Update to the latest **NVIDIA Studio** driver, reboot, retry. If it still fails, try the **Game Ready** driver. Report persistent failures in Discord `#support` with your GPU model.
Pause and resume from the Model Center. If it keeps stalling, check disk space and disable any aggressive antivirus. Some AVs scan multi-GB files extremely slowly.
First response loads the model into VRAM (cold start). Subsequent responses are fast. If chat is consistently slow, your GPU may be hitting VRAM limits — switch to a smaller quantized variant of the same model.
First check whether your device type is approved for earning at all — if it isn't, you are on the waiting list and nothing is dispatched, however long you stay online. If it is approved, the usual causes are a narrow workload pool for your GPU class or low network demand at the moment. Check the in-app dashboard and the Medium community updates.

# Gamers
Source: https://docs.gamerhash.com/use-cases/gamers
How a gamer gets value from GamerHash — without changing their setup.
If you already game on a desktop with an RTX-class GPU, GamerHash is mostly about **using hardware you already have for things you'd otherwise pay for**.
## What you get
Chat, image gen, video gen — all locally on your GPU. No cloud, no logs, no caps.
Opt in to earn — your GPU runs AI workloads when you're not using it, paying you in GUSD.
Pay for games, Steam keys, and gift cards with GUSD, GHX or BTC.
Prefer to take it out? Withdraw as USDC to a BNB Chain wallet — not to a bank account.
## A typical setup
1. **Install the [AI App](https://gamerhash.com/en/app-download)** on your gaming PC. Free, Windows-only.
2. **Run it whenever you want private AI** — chat with Llama, generate images with FLUX, run video clips through LTX. Local, fast, no usage caps.
3. **Toggle on the earning module** when you're done gaming — before bed, before work, or any stretch you're not using the GPU. It runs in the background until you launch a game — then the app pauses earning automatically.
4. **Check the [Mobile app](/apps/mobile)** in the morning — see what your PC earned overnight.
5. **Spend your balance in the [Store](https://gamerhash.com/en/shop)** — or withdraw it as USDC or GHX.
## Why this beats paid AI services
* Cloud AI (ChatGPT Plus, Midjourney, Sora) costs \$20–60/month and caps your usage. Local AI on the same GPU you already own costs nothing extra.
* The same GPU you use for gaming runs **bigger, less censored open-source models** privately.
* You get paid for the hours you're not gaming.
## Edge cases
* **Tournament / competitive gaming setup?** Just leave the earning module off during your gaming sessions. The app pauses earning when a game starts anyway, but if you want zero risk of micro-stutters at startup, keep it disabled until you're done playing.
* **Older GPU?** The earning module needs **24 GB VRAM with 32 GB RAM, or 16 GB VRAM on an Ada-or-newer card with 64 GB RAM** — anything below is local use only, and you go on the waiting list. With 8 GB you still get chat and basic image gen on your own machine, just no network workloads.
* **Multiple PCs?** Run the AI App on each — earnings consolidate to one account, GHXP accumulates faster.
* **No interest in crypto?** Skip the GHX side entirely. GUSD → store → game keys. Done.

# GPU contributors
Source: https://docs.gamerhash.com/use-cases/gpu-contributors
How to think about GPU contribution as a primary use case — beyond casual gaming.
Gamers contribute incidentally. **GPU contributors run hardware specifically to participate in the network** — a machine left on for the job, rather than a gaming PC that happens to be idle. Different goals, different optimisation.
## Who this is for
* People who already own RTX hardware and want to put it to work instead of leaving it idle.
* Power users with 24+ GB VRAM cards, prosumer workstations, or ML rigs that sit unused outside business hours.
* Small operators with 2–10 GPUs looking for stable side income.
## What makes the economics work
* **Pay scales with demand for AI compute.** As API usage and partnership volume grow, so does what there is to pay out. There is no difficulty curve working against you.
* **Nothing to tune.** No algorithm selection, no protocol forks to chase, no per-job configuration. The AI App handles dispatch.
* **GUSD pays per workload completed** — predictable, internal, no exposure to coin-price volatility while you decide what to do with it.
* **GHXP rewards consistency.** Points accrue per minute of uptime, not per unit of throughput, so a machine that stays online steadily builds a bigger balance to commit in each monthly season.
## Optimisation playbook
**Maximize uptime.** Most pay comes from being online when a workload arrives. Configure auto-start, disable sleep, monitor stability.
**Pick the right cards.** 24 GB+ VRAM unlocks the highest-paying tiers (large LLMs, video gen). RTX 4090 / 5090 / Blackwell pro cards are the sweet spot for new investment.
**Hold GHX for the boost.** Holding GHX raises your account level in the app, and the level is what accelerates GHXP accrual. It also unlocks the prompt booster on Text-to-Image. It's free, it stacks, and you don't lock the GHX — hold it in MetaMask or in your in-app GHX wallet and run the app. More points means more to commit in the monthly season.
**Run multiple machines on one account.** GHXP and earnings consolidate per account, not per machine — so several PCs build one points balance instead of several small ones.
**Commit points every month.** A season runs monthly and you can commit up to 80% of your saved GHXP. Committed points are burned and bring a share of the season's GHX proportional to what you committed; points you never commit earn no GHX and roll over.
## The numbers conversation
There is no fixed or promised rate on the earning side. Per-machine earnings depend on demand, GPU class, and how much of the time the machine is online and free. The honest framing:
* A 16 GB Ada card with 64 GB of RAM sits at the entry earning tier and will earn modestly when network demand is moderate.
* A 24 GB+ card draws from the full workload pool, including the top-paying tiers, and with high uptime will earn meaningfully more.
* All of it scales with platform API and partnership volume — which is the variable you're betting on.
The platform publishes monthly community updates on [Medium](https://medium.com/we-are-the-gamerhash) with workload volume signals. That's the right place to read the room before scaling up.
## What to watch out for
* **Electricity cost.** At peak tariffs this is the difference between a margin and none. Schedule earning during off-peak hours if your tariff is time-of-use.
* **Driver stability.** Long-running inference exposes driver bugs. Stick to NVIDIA Studio drivers; report crashes to the support channel.
* **Heat / hardware longevity.** AI inference is GPU-intensive. Good airflow matters. Undervolting is supported and recommended for 24/7 operation.
